Torben Ørntofts research group is located at department of clinical medicine, AU.
The research is devoted to translational molecular studies of bladder, prostate and colon cancer. The research is based on extensive biobanks with full prospective clinical annotation for up to 17 years, combined with cutting edge technologies as NGS, broad microarray experince, in vitro facilities and lately advanced bioinformatics. The group is studying genomic, epigenetic and transcriptomic alterations in cancer for the understanding of cancer biology and for the identification of novel biomarkers.
